Rev. David Washington


Rev. David Washington serves as the youth pastor of Oakdale Covenant Church. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, where as a youth he was swept by the negative influences of urban life.  As a former drug dealer and chief of one of Chicago’s most notorious gangs, Rev. Washington came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and has committed his life to reaching and raising up young delinquents with the gospel of Christ. His commitment is to empower and equip youth to make viable contributions to society and the church.

 

Reverend Washington attended the Moody Bible Institute where in 2005, he graduated with honors earning a Bachelors of Science in Biblical Studies. Immediately following College he attended North Park Theological Seminary on the north side of Chicago where he graduated with honors earning the Masters in Divinity degree in May of 2008.  Rev. Washington has a heart for the lost and a passion for the Word of God for which he strongly believes is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes. Reverend Washington is currently studying at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he is completing his Masters of Theology in New Testament. He is happily married to his wife Vernee, they reside with their two children David and Chemin.
