HOME Rev. Valeyo Garrett
Rev. Valeyo Garrett has been a member of Oakdale Covenant Church for over twenty three years. A gifted and passionate leader, she is driven to develop people, communities and churches to reach and release their God-given potential.
She has ministered the word of God through preaching and teaching in Worship Services, Sunday school classes and Bible Studies. Rev. Garrett has trained hundreds of people to share the Gospel with the lost through her S.W.A.T. (Soul Winning Action Team) curriculum. In addition, she has trained counselors, children’s ministers, and Sunday school teachers to be passionate and excellent in ministering to lost and broken people.
Rev. Garrett received biblical training at the New Life Celebration Church of God Ministries in Dolton, Illinois where Dr. Michael Reynolds serves as the Pastor and President of New Life Institute. She graduated from Illinois State University and then furthered education at North Park Theological Seminary by graduating with Honors in Chicago, Illinois.
Her commitment to ministry has resulted in the development of the “Voices of Comfort”, a ministry of support to those in grief and bereavement, “Key Kingdom Ministers”, a ministry designed to empower a community distressed by social problems, and the “Women Touching the World Ministries”, an outreach that empowers women to empower others.
Rev. Garrett is married to Min. Milton F. Garrett II and they have two children.
